“HELLO, NEWMAN!” RAILSPLITTERS TO HOST CARSON NEWMAN IN QUARTER-FINALS

HARROGATE, TN – Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m., the Lincoln Memorial University men’s basketball team will host arch-rival Carson-Newman College in the Quarterfinals of the 2011 Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament.

The Railsplitters (24-2) earned the right to host the first round by finishing as league regular season champion and will enter this year’s tournament representing the no. 1 seed while the Eagles (11-15) occupy the no. 8 seed following Saturday evening’s 69-62 loss to Anderson University in the final game of the regular season.
