February 20th, 1645 – In a forerunner of similar situations that would frequently arise in our Revolutionary War over a century later, Parliamentarian troops in Henley mutiny and refuse to march until they receive their back pay. Colonel Edward Montague and Lieutenant-Colonel Mark Gryme see to it that the men are paid what they are due.
