DAY TWO – GAME ONE – The unseeded SAINT GREGORY’S UNIVERSITY CAVALIERS started Day Two off by upsetting the 15th seeded WILEY COLLEGE WILDCATS. The Wildcats got off to a 6-3 lead but the Cavaliers quickly turned the tables and took a 19-10 lead. By Halftime both teams were knotted up at 30-30. With 12:51 remaining in the game St Gregory’s University held a 52-42 lead and stayed in control from there, winning by a final score of 84-69. Marty Wilkerson’s 20 points led the Cavaliers.
DAY TWO – GAME TWO – The 10 seeds – the FREED-HARDEMAN UNIVERSITY LIONS – did battle with the unseeded MONTANA STATE UNIVERSITY- NORTHERN LIGHTS in the second game of the day. The Lions shot a red-hot 68.2 % from the field in the 1st Half but the Lights kept pace thanks to 3-point shots despite shooting just 43.3% themselves. At the break the Lions clung to a slim 35-34 lead.
