CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – A pair of 3 seeds battled for the title of NAIA Division One basketball last night as the TEXAS WESLEYAN UNIVERSITY RAMS played the LIFE UNIVERSITY RUNNING EAGLES.
The Rams were determined to win their first hoops championship since 2006 and ran out to a 35-23 lead by Halftime. After the break Texas Wesleyan University had an answer for nearly every offensive effort of the Running Eagles and won the game by a score of 86-76. Dion Rogers led the victors with 28 points and 8 rebounds. * THE RAMS ARE CHAMPIONS OF NAIA DIVISION ONE *

DAY TWO, GAME ONE – The 14 seeds – the MOTLOW COLLEGE BUCKS – squared off against the 19th seeded COFFEYVILLE COLLEGE RED RAVENS to tip off the second day of action.
By the break the Bucks had compiled a 38-28 advantage over the Red Ravens, then kept up the pressure in the 2nd Half. Ultimately Motlow College won the game by a final tally of 78-59. Twenty-four points from Isaiah Hart led the Bucks.
DAY TWO, GAME TWO – This game pitted the 22nd seeded MONROE COLLEGE MUSTANGS against the 11 seeds – the INDIAN HILLS COLLEGE WARRIORS.
The Mustangs put the Warriors on Upset Alert by Halftime with a 33-23 lead. From there Monroe College had to withstand a furious comeback attempt by Indian Hills College, and wound up surviving by a count of 70-64. Clifton Tracey tossed in 20 points to lead the Mustangs.
