The Cardinals parlayed a 36-25 Halftime lead into an 80-62 upset victory. Jagger Anderson led North Central with 20 points.
OTHER UPSETS IN THE TOP TWENTY-FIVE – The COLBY COLLEGE WHITE MULES edged the visiting (8) AMHERST COLLEGE LORD JEFFS in a 66-64 Instant Classic ### And the PACIFIC LUTHERAN UNIVERSITY LUTES took it on the road, toppling the (16) WHITMAN COLLEGE MISSIONARIES by the tight final score of 79-74.
CENTURY CLUB – Teams scoring 100 points or more in Regulation: the THOMAS COLLEGE TERRIERS defeated their guests the NEW ENGLAND COLLEGE PILGRIMS 102-84 ### The WEBSTER UNIVERSITY GORLOKS held serve against the GREENVILLE COLLEGE PANTHERS in an explosive 108-106 affair ### And the EUREKA COLLEGE RED DEVILS won a 101-80 road trip against the PRINCIPIA COLLEGE PANTHERS.
ROAD WARRIORS – The GENESEO STATE BLUE KNIGHTS defeated their hosts the POTSDAM STATE BEARS 89-70. Justin Ringen tossed in THIRTY-THREE of the Blue Knights’ points. ### The UW-EAU CLAIRE BLUGOLDS surprised the UW-WHITEWATER WARHAWKS in a 66-63 thriller ### And the SAINT JOHN’S UNIVERSITY JOHNNIES beat the SAINT OLAF COLLEGE OLES by a count of 81-72.
MARATHON GAME OF THE DAY – The ANDERSON UNIVERSITY RAVENS were on the road against the HANOVER COLLEGE PANTHERS. The Ravens led 33-31 at the Half but the Panthers came back to force Overtime with a 70-70 tie. The 1st OT session ended at 83-83, the 2nd ended knotted up at 91-91, but in the 3rd OT the Ravens pulled out a 106-100 triumph. Stanley Duncan and Trevor Lewis led Anderson with 33 and 24 points respectively.
DOUBLE OVERTIME DUELS – The LESLEY UNIVERSITY LYNX welcomed the DANIEL WEBSTER COLLEGE EAGLES and fought to a 60-60 tie, followed by a 72-70 win after 2 OT sessions ### Meanwhile the ITHACA COLLEGE BOMBERS won a 117-115 Double OT game at the HARTWICK COLLEGE HAWKS ### And the ROCHESTER TECH YELLOW JACKETS outlasted the visiting BARD COLLEGE RAPTORS by a score of 77-69.
WORKING OVERTIME – The EASTERN NAZARENE COLLEGE LIONS came back from a 41-33 Halftime deficit against the ENDICOTT COLLEGE GULLS to tie the game at 64-64, then won it in OT 80-78 ### The POMONA- PITZER SAGEHENS defeated the OCCIDENTAL COLLEGE TIGERS in a 79-70 OT clash ### And the JOHNSON STATE BADGERS notched a 101-98 OT road win against the LYNDON STATE HORNETS.
BLOWOUTS – The RHODE ISLAND COLLEGE ANCHORMEN eviscerated the visiting PLYMOUTH STATE PANTHERS. A 33-29 Halftime lead for the Anchormen ultimately became a 71-48 beatdown. ### And the LAKELAND COLLEGE MUSKIES manhandled the CONCORDIA (Chicago) COUGARS to the tune of 97-64.
