“As Oscar Wilde should have said, when bad ideas have nowhere else to go they emigrate to America and become university courses.”  – Frederic Raphael

liberal fascistWelcome back to Balladeer’s Blog, the only site on the web that truly criticizes American Liberals and American Conservatives equally. I’ve loved using the above quote for years when dealing with the hilariously pretentious asses called American Liberals. More specifically the pompous and narrow-minded Faculty Lounge Fascists, of whom Barack Obama is the most comical example. These people pretend they’re “educated” (a word they say like a haughty baroness from a bad Gothic romance) but are merely credentialed in ever-narrower fields of study.

These people don’t know anything that they weren’t told to think while in a classroom setting, and they blather on about their tiny area of interest with the same laughable snobbery shown by the Comic Book Guy on The Simpsons. They will grandly pretend they’re fit to decide if someone is qualified to speak about “gender theory” or “transracial-heteronormativity in the Patriarchy” or whatever other subjects that have been invented by the bureaucrats who masquerade as educators here in the 21st Century.

Here’s a breakdown on why it’s fun to confuse them with that Frederic Raphael quote:

1. The fact that it references Oscar Wilde in a good way will let them know you’re not a Conservative. American Liberals relate to other human beings ONLY as stereotypes, so they’ll figure that if you were a Conservative you’d be too terrified to refer to Wilde in a positive way out of fear that people might think you’re gay.

2. The negative reference to American Universities will strike right to the core of the insecurities of 21st Century American Liberals. While the rest of us long ago outgrew the tendency to slip our college board scores into conversations American Liberals remain stagnated at that immature level and never move on from it.

Their university instructors – largely 1960s Liberals still fighting the same battles that were won long ago while pretending that their views are “dangerous to the mainstream” – have convinced them that they are Chosen Ones sent forth to be “Agents of Change” against a world of crackers, rednecks and violent reactionaries. A negative reference to American universities will strike a discordant note because college was where Liberals were all treated like wonderful Only Children, praised for parroting worn-out 1960s slogans about race, etc.

3. The negative reference to America will practically paralyze them with indecision. They’ve been programmed to think that any sneering reference to the United States MUST mean the person making it is sophisticated and intellectual. Possibly even (swoon) European!

Do I mean what I’ve written above? Who can say, but it’s ALWAYS fun to write about American Liberals with the same grand air of dismissal that they show toward everyone who doesn’t mindlessly crawl on their bellies for Islam or wage a war on Free Speech or pretentiously call themselves “Social Justice Warriors” (LMFAO).

Camille Paglia, whom I’ve long considered one of the ballsiest women in the world, recently did an interview which nicely “deconstructs” all the false gods and false narratives beloved by the unthinking and uncaring conformists of Liberalism. Here is the link:

  1. You’re spot on about all this. The 60’s generation ruined college by making it all about their political opinions to the exclusion of all else.
