KANSAS COLLEGIATE ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – The 5th seeded TABOR COLLEGE BLUE JAYS kept churning out the upsets all the way through the conference championship game! The Blue Jays dragged the 2nd seeded STERLING COLLEGE WARRIORS into Overtime where they defeated them by a final score of 97-90! * The Blue Jays, as the tournament champs, move on to the NAIA National Tournament. The FRIENDS UNIVERSITY FALCONS, the regular season champs, get the KCAC’s other bid to the National Tournament.
CALIFORNIA PACIFIC CONFERENCE – The top seeded CAL MARITIME ACADEMY KEELHAULERS trailed the 3 seeds, the SIMPSON UNIVERSITY REDHAWKS, at Halftime by a score of 48-43. The Keelhaulers (how can you not love that name) came out loaded for bear in the Second Half and poured on the offense, staging a comeback win by a final score of 96-82. * The Keelhaulers advance to the NAIA National Tournament.
MIDWEST COLLEGIATE CONFERENCE – After defeating AIB and Mount Mercy in earlier rounds the number 2 seeds, the WILLIAM PENN UNIVERSITY STATESMEN, took the conference crown by defeating the 5th seeded GRAND VIEW UNIVERSITY VIKINGS in a 94-75 affair. * The Statesmen move on to the NAIA Basketball National Tournament.
NORTH STAR ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION – In a conference tournament that was all chalk all the time the title game saw the top seeded JAMESTOWN COLLEGE JIMMIES take on the 2nd seeded DAKOTA STATE TROJANS. The Jimmies won this Instant Classic by a final score of 72-67. * The Jimmies advance to the NAIA Basketball National Tournament.
WOLVERINE- HOOSIER ATHLETIC CONFERENCE – The top seeded CORNERSTONE UNIVERSITY GOLDEN EAGLES came out on top against the 2nd seeded DAVENPORT UNIVERSITY PANTHERS in a very entertaining 73-66 game. * The Golden Eagles, as conference tournament AND regular season champs, advance to the NAIA National Tournament. The Panthers, as tournament runners-up, get the other WHAC bid to the National Tournament.
THE SUN CONFERENCE – SEMIFINALS – The 3rd seeded NORTHWOOD (FL) SEAHAWKS managed an upset of the 2nd seeded SOUTHEASTERN UNIVERSITY FIRE in a 78-73 game for the ages. ### And in the other semifinal the top seeded SAINT THOMAS UNIVERSITY BOBCATS defeated the 5 seeds, the THOMAS UNIVERSITY NIGHTHAWKS, by a score of 85-72.
FRONTIER CONFERENCE – OPENING ROUND – The 6th seeded UNIVERSITY OF GREAT FALLS ARGONAUTS rose up and stunned the 3rd seeded MONTANA STATE- NORTHERN LIGHTS in a hard-fought 64-54 hardcourt epic. ### And in a 5 seed over 4 seed upset the LEWIS-CLARK STATE WARRIORS brought down the MONTANA WESTERN BULLDOGS in an 84-80 nailbiter.

WEST REGION – This region of the NATIONAL CHRISTIAN COLLEGE ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION was the only region in action yesterday. The POINT LOMA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY SEA LIONS squared off against the BETHESDA UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA FLAMES for the right to advance. When all the dust had settled the Sea Lions were the victors by a final score of 79-65.

DISTRICT 301 – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The HERKIMER COLLEGE GENERALS and the CLINTON (NY) COLLEGE COUGARS were the last two teams standing in this region. The Generals outmaneuvered the Cougars in the title game and wound up winning by a score of 81-75. * The Generals advance to the NJCAA Basketball National Tournament.
REGION 313 – The ANOKA-RAMSEY COLLEGE GOLDEN RAMS and the ROCHESTER TECH YELLOW JACKETS went into Overtime, with the Golden Rams at last emerging with an 88-85 squeaker win ### Meanwhile the VERMILION COLLEGE IRONMEN eked out a Century Club- level 100-99 victory over the MINNESOTA WEST BLUE JAYS ### And the MESABI RANGE COLLEGE NORSE defeated the CENTRAL LAKES- BRAINERD RAIDERS 73-70 in yet another Instant Classic from this region.
REGION 315 – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – In this region the championship clash pitted the NASSAU COLLEGE LIONS against the SULLIVAN COLLEGE GENERALS. Unlike their namesakes at Herkimer College these Generals wound up on the losing side. Nassau took the regional crown in a very, VERY tense 65-60 affair.
REGION 203 – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The MONROE (Rochester) COLLEGE TRIBUNES squared off against the GENESEE COLLEGE COUGARS for the Region 203 title. The Tribunes came, saw and conquered (see what I did there) by sending the Cougars home nursing a 79-74 loss.
REGION 204 – The CARL SANDBURG COLLEGE CHARGERS upset the KISHWAUKEE COLLEGE KOUGARS (their spelling) 76-70 ### The OLIVE- HARVEY COLLEGE PANTHERS dispatched the BLACK HAWK COLLEGE- EAST WARRIORS by a score of 76-65 ### Meanwhile the TRITON COLLEGE TROJANS toppled the MORTON COLLEGE PANTHERS in an 86-80 grudge match ### And the SOUTH SUBURBAN COLLEGE BULLDOGS eliminated the OAKTON RAIDERS by a tally of 71-61.
REGION 220 – The POTOMAC STATE (WV) COLLEGE CATAMOUNTS came out on top of the HOWARD (MD) COLLEGE DRAGONS in a 74-69 thriller. ### Meanwhile the GARRETT COLLEGE LAKERS just barely snuck by the COLLEGE OF SOUTHERN MARYLAND HAWKS by an incredibly tight final score of 74-73.
REGION 104 – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The championship for Region 104 was fought over by the HIGHLAND COLLEGE (IL) COUGARS and the KANKAKEE COLLEGE CAVALIERS. The Cougars eventually got some distance on the Cavaliers and went on to win by a score of 80-65.
REGION 113 – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The NORTH DAKOTA STATE COLLEGE OF SCIENCE WILDCATS took on the WILLISTON STATE TETONS for bragging rights and the crown for this region. In the end the Wildcats came out on top with an authoritative 96-83 triumph over the Tetons.
REGION 115 – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – This regional title game was between the WESTCHESTER COLLEGE VIKINGS and the HARCUM COLLEGE BEARS. When all the dust had finally settled the Vikings walked away with the 2014 championship in a back-and- forth 77-73 nailbiter.
REGION 120 – CHAMPIONSHIP GAME – The BALTIMORE CITY COLLEGE PANTHERS did battle with the HAGERSTOWN COLLEGE HAWKS. With the regional crown on the line the Panthers and Hawks gave it their all but Baltimore snuck by for the win in an 80-79 game for the ages.
REGION 124 – PLAY-IN ROUND – To kick off the hoops action in this region the 9th seeded WABASH VALLEY COLLEGE WARRIORS mounted an upset of the 8th seeded LINCOLN TRAIL COLLEGE STATESMEN. The score in this triumph of warcraft over statecraft was 70-65.
