Comment: MSU-Northern cleverly decided to call their sports teams the Lights because of the “Northern” at the end of their university’s name. An unfortunate side effect is that people often mistakenly think their teams are called the “Northern Lights” and that they play for Montana State. Montana State’s sports teams are actually called the Bobcats. At any rate I love the style of the lettering on MSU-Northern’s helmets and their name is pretty cool, if a tad confusing for new fans.
