At the Media Day events for the Jayhawk Conference (Unofficial slogan: The greatest concentration of cool-named teams in college sports) the Hutchinson Blue Dragons were picked to finish second, behind perennial nemesis Butler (KS). The Blue Dragons are fresh off a 10-2 season and a Salt City Bowl victory over the Eastern Arizona College Gila Monsters. Will this be the year they can get over the Butler hump? Or Macho Grande?
The Independence Pirates won’t be sneaking up on anyone this year after all the respect they earned last season, but some still think they got dissed by being tagged for a fourth-place finish in the conference. The complete order went as follows:
