CHAMPIONSHIP SATURDAY FOR THE COLLEGE WORLD SERIES’ IN THE NAIA, NCAA DIVISION 2 AND JUCO

 NAIA – The NAIA World Series Championship game went on until about 1am here on the east coast, so technically they get to be part of Championship Saturday, too. The Concordia (CA) Eagles led the Lubbock Christian University Chaparrals by a score of 4-3 going into the 9th inning. The Eagles added 5 more runs in the top of the 9th then shut out the Chaparrals in the bottom of the 9th to take the title.

NCAA Division 2- The D2 championship game will get started at Noon ET today as the University of West Florida Argonauts take on the Winona State Warriors. UPDATE – The Argonauts yawned their way past the Warriors for a 12-2 win to take the title.  

JUCO Division 1 – The Central Arizona College Vaqueros will face the Navarro College Bulldogs for the championship at 9:30pm ET. UPDATE – The Bulldogs won the championship game 6-4 in 10 innings.

JUCO Division 2 – The Jones Bobcats square off against the Western Oklahoma State Pioneers for all the marbles at 8pm ET. UPDATE – The Pioneers decimated the Bobcats 11-1, becoming the 2011 champs.
