COLLEGE WORLD SERIES SCORES JUNE 2ND – NAIA, NCAA DIVISION 2 AND JUCO

NCAA Division 2 – The University of West Florida Argonauts eliminated the Mt Olive College Trojans today by handing them their second loss of the Series by a score of 5-3. The night game in D2 will be between the Winona State Warriors and the Southern Connecticut State University Owls. ***UPDATE – The Warriors eliminated the Owls by a score of 7-5. The Argonauts and the Warriors will play for the D2 title Saturday at noon.

NAIA – The only game of the day in the NAIA World Series is the 10PM ET matchup between the Lee University Flames and the Lubbock Christian University Chaparrals to see which team advances to play the Concordia (CA) Eagles tomorrow for the championship. UPDATE – Game postponed to tomorrow at 4pm ET.

JUCO – The defending World Series champions, the Iowa Western Reivers, were trailing 9-4 in the ninth inning with the bases loaded when a bad pitch from the Navarro Bulldogs hit the batter and made the score 9-5. The Bulldogs replaced their pitcher, and then, anti-climactically, the very next batter for the Reivers hit a pop-fly out, ending the game.  The night game will be the Central Arizona Vaqueros vs the Potomac State Catamounts. *** UPDATE – The Catamounts won in an 11-3 rout.
