SIX-GUN SARA ENTERS THE FRONTIERADO VALHALLA!

Frontierado is coming up on the first Friday in August and a powerful new cultural force has just been added to help spread the good word (“Did you know Frontierado has a wonderful plan for your life?”) about the holiday. That force is Sara from the Lifewith4cats blog and the blog called Mideival Maiden. She was one of the respondents when I mentioned how I do customized sagas for people if they want and she is so nice she ran it on her blog and also linked to my main Frontierado post to help spread the word about my made-up holiday! How cool is that?

Here are links to the two blog posts Six-Gun Sara was kind enough to make about all this – http://midaevalmaiden.wordpress.com/2011/05/17/the-day-you-stop-playing-is-the-day-you-begin-to-die/

As the global commisioner for Frontierado, let me warmly welcome Six-Gun Sara into the pantheon of Frontierado figures. She joins the likes of: The Blackwater Kid (Me. Named for an old New Mexico western town that no longer exists, NOT for the company Blackwater), legendary bounty hunter … Amarillo Rose, sharp-shooting rancher and a chief figure in my fictional “Amarillo Range War” … Dusty Murtaugh, heroic, shotgun- toting Wells Fargo stagecoach driver and their only female field employee … Casino Bill – A gambler-gunfighter in the Doc Holliday mold, who used his economists’ mind to count cards and his fast draw to help depopulate the Wild West … Doc Albany, Casino Bill’s eventual wife, a pistol packing school teacher from back east who used her blazing guns to elimnate any obstacle to educating the west’s young men and women … Frisco Liz, the first female Pinkerton Detective, who was like a law-abiding version of Brett and Bart Maverick … Kid Crimson, a Harvard graduate and hired gun who sold his talents to the highest bidder, Bison Bloodworth, an African American gunslinger who used his skill with weapons to help his struggling brethren and sisters in the old west … Palmetto Bill, a former Confederate officer turned mercenary for Emperor Maximillian after the Civil War … and many more!

Wow, there are so many here. Theyv GOT to post their stories. I especialy want to hear about the gun toteing teacher. Who doesn’t love a good teacher story?

    • I have e-mails out to everybody I’ve done a customized Saga for, so we’ll see how many are as courageous as you are about wanting theirs public. I will be posting mine in the next day or two. And yeah “good teacher stories” have universal appeal.

You are always so clever with these things. It kind of reminds me of the old days.

  2. I saw Six Gun Sara and want my own…PLEASE.

  3. Still trying to work this one out, Blackwater Kid, but I’m starting to get the picture. Off to read Six-Gun Sara’s posts now…

  4. Thanks Didi! I hope you like the Six-Gun Sara saga! If you’d like one of your own done I already have a nickname for your Western character – Lady London. Hey, Roger Moore played the Maverick’s British Cousin so why can’t you be a Wild West character, too?

Hey I think Lady London wants a saga too. And is only unsure because she fears she misunderstands. Ed, just go ahead and send her a questionaire. I am sure once she sees that, it will make sense. Dont make her ask… just send it. 🙂

    • First of all, I kind of worked it out now, and your posts helped a lot.
Secondly, I think you can read my mind. I was wondering if Ed wanted it to be an US-exclusive thing or others are welcome to join it, as it looks like a lot of fun. But then you said in your post that it’s supposed to be an international ‘event’, so I was considering asking Ed. But I was a bit shy about it, so I was still hesitating. Looks like it’s a done deal now, I’m in. Waiting for the questionnaire now 😀

    • Long day, so I’m late getting back to everybody. Lady London went ahead and asked. I’m sending her a questionnaire.

  6. Wow, you are crazed. You did a great job on Midaeval Maiden! Really cool! I don’t how you do it all AND with such detail.

  7. Thank you very much! You’re going to give me a big ego! I used to write things like these Sagas for girlfriends over the years to flatter them, depicting them as figures in whatever time period they wanted to have lived in. I’d always try to make the stories the right combination of fun, funny and butt-kissing to try to please them. I’d be happy to write a Saga for you, too, if you feel like filling out the questionnaire. (Please don’t be afraid to say no if you don’t want one. My feelings won’t be hurt, I just like to offer in case people are shy about it)

  8. Sure. It sounds like fun. I think you are going to be busy right up to your holiday!

  9. Okay, I resent it via reply. If you still don’t have it you may want tocheck your spam folder. Take care and thanks for playing along!

    • You can let me know by e-mail (my address is on my About and FAQ pages) and I’ll send you a questionnaire! Thanks for commenting and for playing along!

  12. This is awesome! Six-Gun Sara is my new hero! Who’s going to play her in the movie and how do I get one of my own stories?
