BLUE RAIDERS BASEBALL SPLITS DOUBLE-HEADER AGAINST TIGERS

After a sloppy start to senior day with six errors in game one leading to an 11-3 loss, the Lindsey Wilson College baseball team responded with 10 hits in game two to split with Georgetown (Ky.) College 11-6 at Egnew Park.

Between games pitchers Steven Boston, Jose Castro and Jared Long, along with shortstop Heath Barnes were honored during a senior-day ceremony as this weekend’s series against the Tigers is the regular-season home finale.

It was a comeback affair for Lindsey Wilson in game two, scoring seven runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to erase a 6-4 deficit en route to the 11-6 win. Lindsey Wilson held Georgetown scoreless after the outburst in the final two innings to secure the win.
