CONCORD, NH – NHTI’s men’s basketball team has won the YSCC Championship by downing the number one seeded Vermont Tech 96-94; this is the Lynx first YSCC title since 2006. In a game played at SMCC, NHTI came from 19 down to win the championship and have received an automatic bid to the USCAA Basketball National Championship Tournament in Pennsylvania.
In the win, Besfort Syla (Manchester) netted 25 points and added five assists, Terry Williams (Norwich, CT) scored 17 points, Marv Leveille (Stamford, CT) added 19 nine points with nine boards, and Matt Cloutier (Milton) netted 19 points.
Williams was named the tournament MVP and Syla was honored as the tournaments top defender.
