Egyptian Salafi preacher Ahmad Mahmoud Abdullah, also called “Abu Islam”, has stated that raping women in Tahrir square is justified. He further stated that they “got what they deserved” and were “without shame”. His hate-filled misogynist rant has been translated in its entirety from El Arabiya and also includes mindless drivel about how the female protestors should “practice their femininity”.
This story and last week’s news item about a Saudi preacher raping, torturing and murdering his five year old daughter are just the latest reminders of the kind of superstitious savagery that the Muslim world perpetuates and of why I despise organized religion.
The sad truth is I could fill this blog with nothing BUT demented acts by religious fanatics but we would all drown in near-despair from the horror of it all. Regular readers of Balladeer’s Blog are familiar with my criticism of ALL religions but since this article deals with the most misogynist and homophobic faith in the entire world at this particular point in history I will point out once again that there is no god named Allah and Muhammad was a false prophet.

This is enough to give a woman nightmares! If the men in Egypt had any balls they would not allow “preaching” like this from anyone. How dare they not speak out against such savagery!
