THIS DATE IN ENGLISH CIVIL WAR HISTORY

JANUARY 29th, 1643 – Lord Camden and Colonel Gervase Lucas take Belvoir Castle for the Royalist side. Meanwhile, the peace commissioners from both sides meet at Robert Trelawney’s house in Plymouth, but the talks break down and the war continues.
