LET’S TRY THIS AGAIN: ANOTHER SPORTSCASTER NEEDS ENLIGHTENED

I once again heard a nationwide sports radio figure pushing the wide-spread misconception that a football playoff in Division 1A (Or Bowl Subdivision if you prefer) would take the top 8 teams in the rankings.     Very interesting topic and useful post. I don’t think most people realize what you pointed out. Most people seem to think a playoff in the Bowl sub division will take the top 8 in the rankings.

      I agree. I’m always amazed that people who push for a playoff didn’t pay attention to the meetings about it and therefore have no clue what form a playoff would actually take.
