RED LIONS MEN’S BASKETBALL DEFEATS THE KUYPER COUGARS

Lincoln, IL – The Lincoln Christian University Red Lions defeated the Cougars of Kuyper College 76-66 Saturday afternoon. After leading 42-28 at the half and scoring the first six points in the second for a 20 point lead, the Cougars rallied to cu t the score to 60-52 with 8:24 remaining in the game. From that point on the Red Lions took control of the game and stretched their lead to 70-56 before the Cougars narrowed the score to the final ten point margin.

LCU was lead by Christ Lawson with 24 points, 18 coming on six three pointers, and nine rebounds. Troy Lane and Josiah Brock both had 10 points while Kevin Watson had nine points and nine rebounds.

The 7-3 Red Lions outrebounded KC 44-34.
