HAVERFORD, Pa. – Pam Horner had 42 assists and 15 digs to lead Franklin & Marshall to a 3-0 victory over Swarthmore in the Centennial Conference (CC) Volleyball Championship Sunday. The victory gives the Diplomats the conference’s automatic qualifier bid in the NCAA Tournament.

The title is the fifth in F&M history. The last one was won in 2000, head coach Mary Kate Boland’s senior season.

The Franklin & Marshall volleyball team earned its seventh NCAA Division III Tournament bid when the field was announced on Monday. The Centennial Conference (CC) Champions will travel to Christopher Newport in Newport News, Virginia, to take on Randolph-Macon on Friday at 1:00 p.m.

The Diplomats (22-6) return to the 63-team tournament after a ten-year hiatus.  F&M received an automatic bid after defeating Swarthmore, 3-0, in the CC Championship game on Sunday.  Randolph-Macon (25-7) received an automatic bid after winning the ODAC Championship on Saturday. The Yellow Jackets are making their second trip to the tournament.

The winner of F&M vs. Randolph-Macon will take on Colorado College (30-6) on Saturday.  Colorado was the only team to receive a first round bye in 2010 Tournament.
