The callous, conscienceless zombies of State College, Pennsylvania, the home of Pedopohile State University and the football team called the Sodomy Lions, are so divorced from reality and so demented in their fetishistic worship of the late alleged pedophile enabler Joe Paterno that they are having a parade in honor of him right after his funeral service this Wednesday.
I was going to refrain from posting again about the overrated late coach most noted for allegedly having failed to call the police or child services about his former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky’s alleged assaults on underaged boys in Penn State facilities. I wasn’t going to bother mentioning again how Paterno himself publicly stated he Continue reading
Life is great when it’s not your own children allegedly being raped
If you were following the Jerry Sandusky/ Joe Paterno scandal through ESPN’s coverage you might get the impression that a group of children maliciously conspired to smear the “legacy” of Joe Paterno. In fact, I think I can go the rest of my life without ever again hearing the words Paterno and legacy in the same sentence. Or paragraph. Or more.
Anyone familiar with the muck and slime of NCAA Division 1 football is aware of how common it is for schools and/ or alumni to cover up wrongdoing by players and coaches. After decades of coaching staffs and athletic directors looking the other way or outrightly participating in coverups and misdeeds a reasonable person might have sarcastically asked “Geez, what would it take for these creatures to think something is more important than avoiding embarrasment or winning games – multiple child rapes?”
Well the ongoing investigation at Penn State allegedly proves that even that low estimation of the ethics of coaches and administrators in Division 1 football would be wrong. Apparently there is Continue reading
I keep meaning to refrain from writing about the cesspool that is the Jerry Sandusky/ Joe Paterno story out of Penn State, but the PSU students rioting in support of Paterno, ESPN’s ongoing snubbing of the victims and their families plus Paterno’s own callous behavior (especially his whining about getting fired by phone after practically daring the Penn State trustees to do it) keep driving me to discuss angles of the story that sportscasters don’t seem capable of grasping.
Alleged pedophile enabler Joe Paterno and his family are not the victims here. The children who were allegedly raped by Paterno’s former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky are. The families of those children are victims, too, especially of the way that Paterno, one of the Continue reading
“Yeah, victims, whatever. Can you BELIEVE the trustees fired me by PHONE?!”
Alleged pedophile enabler and alleged human being Joe Paterno proved he still doesn’t understand that lives beyond his own have been affected by his alleged inaction since 2002 regarding the child rapes allegedly committed by his former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, some of them reportedly in Penn State facilities. Penn State University finally did the right thing last night by firing the seemingly callous and unfeeling Paterno who had spitefully vowed to continue “coaching” (or whatever it is he’s been doing when he’s been wandering the sidelines with no headset and no clipboard for years) the football team he and others have disgraced. The alleged pedophile enabler proved early in the day yesterday that the enormity of the situation was still beyond his sollipsistic worldview when he grandly announced he would retire after coaching the remaining games in the season then went further by condescendingly instructing the trustees of Penn State to stop spending time on his situation.
Speaking for myself, the word “delusional” comes to mind, but then, so do words like “subhuman” and “monster”. After Paterno was fired last night he unbelievably addressed the “Hooray for Child Rape” rally or whatever it is on his front lawn, indignant at the fact that he got the news of his firing BY PHONE! It makes you wonder if he followed it up with the words “And people say those damn children are the victims”. Probably not. But it woudn’t surprise me if one of the students engaged in that “Occupy The Vacant Space Between Joe Paterno’s Ears” mob chanting Continue reading
Joe Paterno continues to pompously think he should get to go out on his own terms. His announcement that he will retire at the end of the season is appalling considering the fact that Penn State officials who have allegedly been neglecting the child rape situation for MUCH LESS TIME THAN PATERNO is alleged to have been neglecting it are out the door. If “Coach” Paterno wanted a baseball style tour of the parks he could have had it years ago by retiring then. For anyone to waste a nanosecond of their time worrying about whether “Mr Inaction” deserves to go out on his own terms is unbelievable, even for the sports publicists who work for ESPN. (They’re not reporters. They’re publicists. Yahoosports and Sports Illustrated have reporters, not ESPN in my opinion)
If Joe “Alleged Pedophile Enabler” Paterno was simply gone from the school as of today, voluntarily or not, I wouldn’t even be doing another Paterno post. But if Joe insists on lingering, I think he deserves to be treated at least as roughly as he would have treated a player who kept missing their blocking assignments. And the Joe Paterno we’ve seen from these allegations certainly would have done more to correct the mechanics of an errant player than he did to intervene in alleged child rape incidents.
WHY DIDN’T YOU CALL THE POLICE, PATERNO? That is the only question that needs asked at this point. If Paterno is the least bit sincere that this Jerry Sandusky situation is “one of the great sorrows of his life” and in hindsight he “wishes he had done more”, well, he had plenty of years to do more. Pretty odd that it wasn’t until all this became public that “Coach” Paterno suddenly regrets Continue reading
